Not long ago, companies had to pay several thousand dollars to get a Trimble, Leica, TopCon or other all-in-one handheld unit to get sub-meter results.  And if they wanted to get cm-accuracy, that meant more money and more software and post-processing.

Our customers that replace proprietary handhelds tell us one of the greatest benefits is they don’t lose work and they don’t lose data.

With handhelds, when you do field work for weeks to capture thousands of GPS points and your device breaks, you’ve just lost all that time and all that data, plus have to replace a device that costs several thousand dollars, just to go out and do it all over again. Frustrating to say the least.
