Richard M. Cobb - President and CEO

Rick Cobb has successfully led TerraGo Technologies in our efforts to become a trusted geospatial collaboration software resource for defense, intelligence, government and commercial organizations worldwide. Cobb's background includes more than 20 years of leadership experience in the domestic and international software industry, including a decade working in the computer-aided design (CAD) market and more than 10 years in enterprise IT.

Cobb is an eight-year veteran of Cadence Design Systems, where he was a vice president and general manager of multiple domestic and international operations throughout a period in which Cadence grew from $100M to nearly $1B in annual sales. During his five years of service at Approva, a visionary provider of software solutions for Governance, Risk and Compliance, he played a critical role in leading the firm as COO. During his tenure, Approva secured $35 million in venture investment and rapidly became an acknowledged industry leader, growing in annual revenue at an average rate of more than 100 percent per year. Prior to Approva, Cobb was senior vice president of worldwide sales and strategic alliances for enterprise collaboration and knowledge management pioneer Intraspect Software (Vignette). At Intraspect he first helped position the company for rapid growth, then built and led global field operations for four years.

Throughout his career, Cobb has managed organizations consistently respected for the quality of their people and products as well as their unyielding focus on customer and partner success. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in management engineering.

Richard McKay - Sr. VP of Sales and Business Development

Richard McKay's 35-plus years in the geospatial industry include leadership roles in global sales, marketing, channel management and customer care. McKay joined TerraGo in 2008 as VP of Sales, and in that role grew the company's year-over-year sales revenue using a customer relationship sales system. Effective January 1, 2011, he became Sr. VP of Sales and Business Development for the company.

Prior to TerraGo, McKay was VP of Sales and Marketing for Leica Geosystems GIS & Mapping (now known as ERDAS), where he used his background as a certified photogrammetrist to introduce digital analytical photogrammetry and airborne sensors to the customer base. In addition, he managed the company's startup activities in the key markets of India, China and Singapore.

McKay's career also includes sales/marketing leadership roles with PLUS 3 Software (Trimble) and Spectra Vision (Boeing/Autometric). He has represented company interests to leading government and private organizations in the United States and around the world, negotiating large accounts and cooperation agreements with agencies and private companies. McKay has been involved with GITA for several years and is a longtime member of ASPRS, currently serving on its mobile mapping committee.

W. Stewart Brooks - Acting Chief Financial Officer

W. Stewart Brooks brings more than 20 years of experience in managing the financial operations of rapidly growing organizations to TerraGo. Brooks is a founding member and managing partner of AcuityCFO, a CFO services firm offering financial and accounting expertise to early and growth stage businesses. In his nearly 10 years with AcuityCFO, Brooks has provided leadership in debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, ERP implementations, and other strategic initiatives. Previously, Brooks served as the chief financial officer for an Inc 500 technology services organization, and he held leadership roles with two leading healthcare organizations in Georgia.

George Demmy - Chief Technology Officer

George Demmy is Chief Technology Officer at TerraGo Technologies. Demmy is one of the patent holders for the process that creates georeferenced PDF files. He holds a BA in Physics from Florida State University and an ME and Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Florida.

Michael Bufkin - Chief Solutions Architect

A founder of TerraGo and co-patent holder for the process that creates georeferenced PDF, Michael Bufkin has been involved in the evolution of TerraGo GeoPDF and the products that produce and display GeoPDF maps and imagery since the beginning. Today his role is primarily in architecting solutions for customers who want to “push TerraGo products to the limits, creating applications that we never thought possible when we founded the company.”

John Deaver - VP of Marketing

John Deaver joined TerraGo as VP of Marketing following four very productive/positive years at Intergraph, where he was Executive Director of Corporate Communications. Deaver played a significant role in supporting the complete overhaul and repositioning of Intergraph prior to its acquisition by Hexagon. Deaver and his team were responsible for developing a common messaging platform and consistent, global communications strategy. He worked regularly with geospatial industry leaders, press and analysts across verticals such as D&I, utilities and public safety, effectively raising awareness and generating new business opportunities.

Prior to Intergraph, Deaver served for nearly nine years as a Senior Vice President and Partner at global marketing and communications powerhouse, Fleishman Hillard International. Throughout his tenure Deaver held several positions including co-chair of the corporate practice, where he led numerous integrated marketing programs with technology firms ranging from start-ups to Microsoft.

Nathan Jones - VP of Product Development

Nathan Jones joined TerraGo in the summer of 2008, bringing with him more than 15 years of software engineering experience in a variety of technologies and platforms. Since that time his contributions have touched most of TerraGo’s geospatial applications. In his current role as Vice President of Product Development, Jones leads a team of talented individuals working to deliver the next set of collaborative software solutions for the geospatial enterprise.

Jim Sheen - VP of Products and Services

Jim Sheen joined TerraGo in January, 2011, as Vice President of Products and Services, bringing more than 20 successful years of experience across a broad range of global software/technology companies and executive operational positions. In his current role, Sheen leads TerraGo's efforts to systematically collect, refine/define and prioritize requirements for the company's product offerings, collaborating closely with the field (including customers and partners), development team, marketing, and more. In addition, Sheen provides executive leadership for the company's Professional Services team.
