I have been a software developer for 10 years, and I have been working at TerraGo for almost two. Since starting with TerraGo, I have had the opportunity to work with so many different technologies, products, and fields of study that I am honestly considering changing my name to Jack. My career at TerraGo began with working on a GeoPDF viewer for our ArcGIS Desktop product. Since then, I have worked extensively on Terrago Composer, Terrago Mobile, and now 3D Composer. I also spend time helping our support team resolve issues reported by our ever growing list of customers.

The company’s goal of bringing geospatial information to non-GIS experts is near and dear to my heart, because I believe that no matter how powerful your application is if it’s not easy to use, no one will use it. It is truly fun to come to work each day with this group of very bright, talented, and hard working people - all of whom have a great sense of humor.

When I am not at work, I can be found playing Frisbee with my Golden Retriever mix, Cricket, working out, or SCUBA diving somewhere. I have been a certified diver since I was a student at Virginia Tech (13 years) and hold open water, advanced, and nitrox certifications and soon rescue as well. Diving is as close to a walk in space as us non-astronauts may come, and you get to see some really interesting creatures and scenery. Some of my weekends are even spent helping others to take up SCUBA while assisting an instructor with pool classes. I could talk for days about my diving adventures, but I don’t want you to wear out your scroll wheel.
