I learned Fortran IV in the late 60’s as a Physiology major at UC Berkeley, and I've been programming ever since. I tried engineering management twice (at Varian and Wordstar), and twice fled after a couple of years for small companies. Prior to joining TerraGo (1994 to 2010), I was a Senior Computer Scientist at Adobe Systems, working in the printing, core technologies and Acrobat engineering groups. It was there that I led the team that added geospatial support to Acrobat. I subsequently joined TerraGo to pursue these interests!
