TerraGo Edge 3.8.0 Release Notes

New Features:

  • Auto-record GPS Lines and Polygons - Automatically record GPS lines and polygons (also known as “streaming”) on your mobile device using the TerraGo Edge App, to improve the efficiency of field data collection. Continuously add vertices from your GPS position at defined intervals as you move, to create an electronic breadcrumb trail that shows the path you have traveled.
  • Edge Server REST API - Integrate your applications directly with TerraGo Edge Server functionality using simple HTTP methods in JSON format, with any programming language, on any platform, and utilizing OAuth 2.0 protocol for authentication. The TerraGo Edge Server REST API is Swagger™-enabled, the world’s most popular API framework, which provides a simple API representation, interactive documentation, and client SDK generation.

TerraGo Edge 3.7.1 Release Notes

New Features:

Advanced Form Creation with Smart Forms:

  • Form groups – new form element to organize multiple related fields within a form
  • Conditional fields – new attribute for radio button, combo or checkbox so additional fields only appear when needed, based on user entry
  • Barcode and QR code support – instantly scans standard codes and eliminates manual entry
  • Repeating fields and groups – new attribute to dynamically “add another row”
  • Expand/collapse – new feature to expand or collapse all groups and repeating fields
  • Calculated fields – new form element to define a calculated result using other form field values

TerraGo Publisher: What’s New in version 6.8

Python programming language extensions: TerraGo Publisher for ArcGIS and TerraGo Publisher for ArcGIS Server version 6.8 introduce a powerful new integration into Esri’s ArcPy extension mechanism with their Python programming language extensions called PubPy. PubPy functions enable the easy creation and deployment of Publisher-powered geoprocessing toolboxes to ArcGIS. PubPy is suitable for automating many Publisher tasks or implementing Web services for ArcGIS for Server applications.

TerraGo Composer: What’s New in version 6.8

Enhancements to 3D GeoPDF Model Creator Tool: The 3D GeoPDF Model Creator Tool has been extended to the creation of Universal 3D (U3D) models and georegistration metadata, which allows placement of 3D models created with the tool in arbitrary locations in PDF documents and reports with Adobe Acrobat and georegistration with TerraGo Composer to create advanced 3D GeoPDF documents.

TerraGo Publisher: What’s New in version 6.7.2

Custom Datum Shift:  Support for custom datum shifts using the seven-parameter Position Vector method (EPSG method 9606) for ISO style map frames.

TerraGo Composer: What’s New in version 6.7.2

3D GeoPDF: The 3D GeoPDF Model Creator Tool has been enhanced to support methods for reducing the size of imagery used to compose 3D GeoPDF scenes. These methods include:

  • Denoising, or reducing the entropy or random noise associated with an image to allow for more efficient compression
  • Downsampling, or reducing the total number of pixels in an image, by one of three different algorithms that trade of speed for quality:
    • Faster Processing (Cubic)
    • Balanced speed and quality (Lanczos)
    • Maximum quality (Blackman-Harris)

[Note: Downsampling is a form of denoising, and while not mutually exclusive, adding denoising to a downsampling operation is likely to increase processing time with no commensurate improvement in compression.]
